• I am the technical administrator for a growing health food store in Iowa. The inventory has gotten big enough that they are losing track of current inventory and repleneshment levels. The owners would like the following: 1) bar code scanner to do simple checkout and rapid initial inventorying 2) continuously updating inventory capabilities (deduct from inventory database during checkout automatically) 3) computerized cash register and cash drawer to replace the old fashioned "traditional" one they have now 4) The ability to handle multiple tax rates, dependent on type of product 5) ability to do credit card handling integrated into the POS 6) simple enough for a handful of non-technical people to run on a consistant basis (as I won't be always available to troubleshoot as I live in Colorado) 7) basic and user-custom reports 8) a backup system Since I am technical, I can provide most of the computer/backup/network/etc infrastructure myself. However, I will need the software, documentation, and specialized equipment (POS display, receipt printer, credit card reader, et al) to be provided. I also need for this to be fairly turnkey, as I want to install it on day 1, enter the inventory on day 2, and replace the old system on day 3. Alan Sheets.
