• Borrowers defaulted on a seller financed note (2nd mortgage) on their purchase of a multi-family rental property. Note principle is $60,000, amortized over 10 years, balloon payment in 5 years, due 2010. Borrowers made total payments of approx $13,000 against note and stopped paying. Last payment march 2007. Amount owed against principle approx $46,000. Property and borrowers located in suburbs south of chicago (cook county). Note held in a land trust.
