Laminate

A plastic finish that is applied to a pressed wood core. Laminates are available in a number of different patterns, ranging from woodgrain to color finishes.

Managerial Return

An area mounted to the main work surface at the same height as the work surface. This area is generally used for typing.

Secretarial Return

An area mounted to the main work surface at a lower height to better accommodate typing or work at a computer.

Suspension

Slides that allow shelves or drawers to roll in and out of their cases.
