Transmission Thinks on the Go

Construction Equipment - January 1, 2005

Hyundai employs Cummins engines driving through electronically controlled Ergopower automatic transmissions in the Dash 7 wheel loaders. Proportional valves enable very precise control of the clutches, and a gear-change monitoring function adjusts shift pressure in the clutches for smooth shifts with no interruption of traction. A manual transmission is optional. Helical gear pumps reduce hydraulic-system noise compared to Dash 3 machines.
