Link-Belt 100- to 200-hp Wheel LoadersWorks Like a Z-Bar and Tool CarrierConstruction Equipment - May 1, 2004 Link-Belt's L120, L125 and L130—introduced at Conexpo/Con-Agg 2002—are the company's first wheel loaders. Their Power-Link front-end geometry is a departure from most Z-bar linkages, although Volvo and the small Terex machines have a similar front structure. Link-Belt literature claims, "operators won't become frustrated by a lack of power at the top of the lift range as they would in a typical Z-bar machine." And when the "fork level-lift function" is activated, two sensors automatically regulate the position of the lift and curl cylinders to keep the load level from the ground to full height. 100- to 200-hp models: 3 Product-line features: Cummins engines driving through ZF Ergopower transmissions and limited-slip differentials power these Link-Belt loaders. Sealed bearings make their articulation hinges maintenance free.
