T1 lines are ideal for small to mid-sized businesses with up to 50 employees and can support all basic internet functions as well as large file downloads and uploads. T1 uses a fiber optic line that can carry 24 digitized voice channels (Capacity: 1.544 megabits per second). T1 service is normally priced between $300-$1,200 monthly.
T3 lines are typically used by mid-sized to large businesses with 100+ employees. A big jump up from T1, a T3 line offers the combined bandwidth of 28 T1 lines (Capacity: 45 megabits per second). T3 service is normally priced between $3,000-$12,000 monthly.
DSL is a popular option for small businesses with up to 20 employees who need only basic Internet applications, like web browsing and email (Capacity: .64 megabits per second). Business DSL service is normally priced between $50-$400 monthly.
