(example answers)
  • I run a dance shoe and apparel store. I need a system where I can enter an item, and the color and size are options.
  • I'm mostly interested in inventory control. Keeping track of clients, keeping invoices for customers that have items on hold, and if possible a request center where I can hold items that haven't arrived yet for specific customers. It's a very small business, and I can't spend the sky on this, so I also need something affordable.
  • I sell books and I need to be able to keep inventory. My business is mobile, meaning I do book fairs in different locations every day.
  • I want a system that the customer can scan their own credit card or ATM card. Ideally I will have a sign on screen, so the only paper printed is for the customer. Of course, all the information needs to go into an accounting program.
  • I want the system to have the capability to allow the pizza makers to mark the pizza made when it goes in the oven so the counter personnel can let the customers know how long the wait will be if they inquire about their pizza after ordering.
  • I will have my own RMS software and specialized comic book shop software.
  • I would like an additional two cash drawers in the unit.
  • I would like my POS system to be integrated with my website so that inventory and purchases can be tracked in one place for store and website and payment can be done on the website. Thank you.
  • I'm really just looking for a POS software that will work well for a liquor store setting. I am considering a touch screen monitor and I do need a credit card swipe as well.
  • I will need inventory tracking, updates with scans, easy to set reorder levels and to be able to categorize by product type or style. I?ll need to pull reports for sales by department and have inventory reporting. We would also like gift cards.
  • We need an inventory program that can automatically send orders via internet, and a server that can back up the whole system.
  • It is a medical group selling weight loss products.
  • It must be compatible with Quickbooks. It also has to be compatible with the NBS platform. It must be able to produce and print barcode tags as well as receipts. It must be able to keep and order inventory. We need to be able to control it from a central office location. The scanner must read multiple types of barcodes. We currently have Dell hardware and would like for it to configure to that.
  • The system should keep track of each employee purchase. It should print a description of purchases for each client. I?d like it connected to a web site with a description of items and inventory. I?d also like a website with newsletter, customers comments, etc.
  • I?m looking for budget system to start. I want it to be user friendly in operation and programming. The retail aspect would be approximately 2000 items to start. Playing Field would be an admission style business.

  • I need a POS system for a small lounge in a hotel with limited food service.
  • We need a manual and a key for the cash register. Thanks.
  • We have a need for an advanced inventory control that will reduce the inventory stock as soon as a sale is made. Also I need a system that can save information into another database daily. I'd like to have the ability to have the inventory control on another computer, and just input the sales after each current day. Basically I don't want a system that I have to control inventory on just one computer.
  • I need pos system with a cash drawer and credit card scanner that will also do inventory and can be checked by the back office.
  • We need the ability to keep track of inventory and ordering reminders of stock merchandise. We need an integrated customer database with personal, payment, and transaction history details. We will need to print out order tickets for clothing/footwear repair orders as well as print receipts alone at pickup, and check customers' orders in & out.
  • I?ll need the system that also weighs produce and calculates price track inventory.
  • Please include Quickbooks polling and credit and debit card processing.
  • We require real-time inventory management compatibility with Internet and In-Store sales.
  • We have seasonal retail and gift shops. We need good inventory tracking and to be able to enter inventory while ringing up sales. We are high volume.

  • We are a small convenience store with a deli counter.

  • We are a specialty fly-fishing retail operation.
  • The business this system would be for is a pet retail business. I would need a cash drawer, a key board, a touch screen monitor, and a receipt printer. Other than that it would benefit us to have scanners that will scan the products into the system from a wireless source and track inventory.
  • The last chain grew to 68 stores prior to selling it. We anticipate this growing to 15 stores. The system must have multi store capabilities, inventory control with distribution center and a QuickBooks enterprise interface.
  • The place is going to be quite unusual. We will offer retail wine and liquor for sale and also for consumption in store. But we will also have food such sandwiches and other light appetizers, breads, pastries etc. Essentially, a coffee shop in the morning, a sandwich/coffee shop for lunch and more of an upscale wine/bourbon bar in the evenings.
  • There is a new store opening and I need the POS system hardware, but no software, to operate the store. It needs a touch screen monitor, preferably with built in card reader, receipt printer, standard 35 key Keypad, and a cash drawer.
  • I already have the scales, scanners, and POS Software. Thank you for your help.
  • This configuration is for a Gourmet Deli & Coffee with breakfast sandwiches, a lunch menu of subs and cold sandwiches. We will also have soups and bakery goods along with deli meats and specialty meats.
  • This equipment must work with Macintosh OSX.
  • This machine also needs Chinese language for input with an English option available.
  • This is for a Deli Inventory Management Interface to an accounting system like QuickBooks. We would like the ability to store sandwich recipes and have cost accounting with remote management reporting.
  • This is for a golf shop that runs both the course and the retail end of things.

  • This will be in a cooking school where people can buy pots and pans, knives and other chef related items.
  • We?d like to be able to enter a consignor's account number, a description of the item and the price. We need to manually mark down an item with 25%, 50% or 75%. We also need to be able to enter a consignor's account number with an attached number to identify certain articles that are over $25. We need for each transaction to be split 50/50 between consignor and store automatically, and for double numbered items to be split 60/40 automatically.
  • We?ll need a training program for the new system.
  • I?m using Quickbooks currently and would like a POS system to work with it.
  • I want shipping system that will integrate with UPS, DHL and Fed Ex so we can offer customers a choice of the shipper. Data capture on copying is not a priority.
  • We want to use a Quick Books cash register plus software.
  • We are a 5 Acer garden center with over a million dollars in sales a year. We are still using registers at this time without any computers!
  • We are a not-for-profit, buyers' cooperative with 1000 members. Accounts may carry balances or run credits in multiple separate categories. Any system must be able to accept credit-card, debit-card, check/money-order (unverified is fine), and EBT (food stamps) payments. The ability to generate different types of reports (web-based?) for users of different levels would be a plus. Thanks, and best wishes. Dave Jonas, Manager of Operations and Facilities
  • We are a small church Bazaar with game booths mostly for children and some food stands. We have been using metal "Tokens" that are purchased with cash at token booths. We want to simplify the system from having to collect tokens, count, and re-sell and hand counting of each booth's sales. We also want to avoid handling cash throughout the fair. The fair is an all volunteer organization. The system envisioned is simple and would permit quick scanning of the magnetic cards at the booths with wireless handheld terminals such as the ones used by restaurant waiters at the tables. Probably utilizing PC's as the point where cash would be paid to load the cards to be used for games, food, and other purchases. And the patrons could pay and be told how much is left on the cards at time of usage with little time as we would not like to have a bottle neck created. We want people to come and have fun.
  • We are a systems integrator and are working with a new sports facility that will open in the spring of 2009. Current need is to provide merchandizing and inventory controls, etc. with expansion into the newly constructed facility on or before March 1, 2009.
  • We are looking at purchasing a POS system to better track our retail stores sales. We would like to be able to balance each night with a report printed from the system showing how many sales were in cash and the amount, how many in checks and the amount, and the same with credit cards. We would also like to possible have credit cards run through the machine and possibly some sort of check scanner as well.
  • We are looking for a POS system to work with our online store as well as the physical location. Inventory tracking, gift registry, credit card terminals that are built in or client stations will possibly be needed, pending price and options.
  • We are looking for something temporary. We have the computers, approximately 6-7 POS, we need everything else.
