"We test and provide reports related to hearing health for our clients. We would like to be able to allow each client a secure login to view only their reports online. "Replacing SharePoint Services 1.0 (which is quite out of date), with a matching featureset. Document check-in/out, version tracking, user management, metadata flexibility (at least a few custom fields), search. There is some use of the documents on the website, but an integration is not a required feature (just a nice-to-have) - manual copying of documents is acceptable. About 10,000 documents exist to move into the system. Currently licensed to 30 users, there are probably only 20 who edit content, the rest just view. 8 heavy editors, 12-15 light editors of content, and 100 employees who should be able to view (the number of viewing employees may grow, so software that only charges for editing users or by enterprise is desirable.) Open to hosted solutions, or locally installed, with price a major factor (of course) in the decision. NOTE that I am a consultant, but won't be completing this project (just advising on budget.)."
