"We are a medical device manufacturing company looking to implement a safe and effective way to track maintenance carried out on tools used on the production floor. In addition, we would like to employ some way to track how many parts were run on a specific tool and using our SPC data collected per lot, track any changes or drift associated with that tool. The user should have accessibility to each lot run and be able to reference specific SPC data collected and export it to Excel or Minitab with ease. One idea would be to add bar codes to the work orders. When the lead/tech scans the work order, the program would specify which tools are necessary for that lot and allow the user to manually check out specific serialized tools. Our quality group should then be able to scan the same bar code and be able to enter in data collected on that lot (i.e. part dimensions)."
