"The resolution of the documents we print is at most 600 DPI, and the printer needs to be very consistent in its coloring. We print color renderings here, in 8.5x11 and 12x18 sizes, and need the printer to be able to print on glossy sheets with minimal smearing/smudging once the ink sets. Speed is less important than quality and consistency. Inkjet printers will need to have separate cartridges for each color to save on ink costs."
