DM450™ Digital Mailing System Overview

The Pitney Bowes DM450™ Digital Mailing System gives your business more mailing muscle. Its convenient design and durable automatic feeder allow operators to process and move mail quickly and efficiently. The system automatically feeds and seals material of up to 5/16” thick, with sizes ranging from postcards to 11” x 13” flats. Additionally, the DM450™’s tip-to-tip sealing protects the contents of your mail, while pressure and transport rollers work in tandem to provide a positive seal. Speeds of up to 120 letters per minute provide your growing business the efficiency it needs to complete large mailings fast.

Choose from an integrated or interfaced platform scale to ensure accurate posting of letters and parcels. A convenient built-in strip tape feeder provides postage tapes to apply to oversized pieces. The large QWERTY keyboard allows easy entry of international countries and department names. The DM450™ provides the ability to track and trace up to 50 accounts, with the capability of expanding up to 300 accounts. Data can then be printed or exported to a PC for use in most common spreadsheet applications.

A Password Protection feature on the DM450™ protects your postage, and a low postage warning ensures you never run out of postage unexpectedly. Postage refills are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, thanks to Pitney Bowes’ Postage-By-Phone® system. The DM450™ can also give you additional functionality with the date-and-time stamp capability for incoming mail. Fast postage downloads, software updates, and USPS® services are accessed through the IntelliLink® using a standard analog phone line or a high-speed internet connection using Constant Connection.

The DM450™ Digital mailing System comes with IntelliLink® technology – a powerful digital gateway that keeps you connected with the very latest in mailstream management. Online access to My Account enables you to order supplies, request service, pay bills online and more. Thanks to the IntelliLink® Control Center, you can access a wealth of services and tools, including:

• USPS® Rate Updates
• System Software Updates
• USPS® Special Services:
• Delivery Confirmation - Online processing and tracking for First Class parcels, Priority Mail® and Package Services.
• Signature Confirmation - Provides the name and signature of recipient for First Class parcels, Priority Mail® and Package Services. This service is discounted when processed through IntelliLink®.
• Certified Mail - Process Certified Mail electronically right from your office and save a trip to the Post Office.
• Electronic Return Receipt – Save money by processing Return Receipt electronically through Intellilink®. Convenient electronic access to Return Receipts are available 24/7 through the internet.
