Certain businesses still rely on gas-powered golf carts since they are more powerful for carrying heavy cargo or pulling heavy loads. Gas carts are also best for extensive use in outdoor environments – you can carry additional fuel on board when you’re not near a power source.

Keep in mind: gas golf carts are significantly more expensive than electric versions. Businesses like country clubs that need a fleet of vehicles usually purchase electric carts because of the cost savings.
