Affiliate Manager
Position Description:
BuyerZone is a vibrant Internet marketing company that is currently growing and is in need of an ambitious, driven person to spearhead our affiliate channels.
This is an ideal position for someone who is self-motivated and enjoys working in the online space. The Affiliate Manager will grow our affiliate program as well as develop partner relationships to generate traffic for our desired target audiences.
Outstanding candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, exceptional client relationship talent, and a strong aptitude for organization and attention to detail. Previous experience that demonstrates your ability to identify, qualify, negotiate and close online affiliate relationships in targeted market areas is a big plus.
Responsibilities:
- Research/prospect for new affiliates in targeted market areas
- Contact affiliates, through cold calls or by using existing contact lists
- Qualify promising affiliates who would be compatible to promoting our offers
- Effectively identify a prospect's needs and offer quality solutions
- Negotiate payouts for affiliates on all campaigns in the network
- Manage partner needs including negotiations, setup and reporting
- Manage accounts on an ongoing basis; identify issues and encourage growth
- Work closely with the Online Marketing teams to maximize opportunities and ensure partner quality

Requirements:
- At least 2-3 years of experience in sales or marketing.

Associate/Assistant Marketing Manager
Position Description:
BuyerZone is looking for an outstanding creative and analytical marketer who can help continue to grow our business.
As a member of our marketing team, you’ll have your hands in many key areas of our business: attracting and retaining both buyers and sellers of business products and services through a variety of channels, mediums and strategies.
We’re looking for a rock star: someone who is smart, inquisitive and focused on success, and of course – is a great team player.
Strong candidates will have 2 to 3 years of professional experience in a marketing role – with understanding of both online and offline marketing. We’re looking for someone who is as comfortable writing and conceptualizing an email campaign as they are digging into numbers and calculating ROI.
Responsibilities:
- Work cross-functionally with many groups, but especially with our sales leaders and sales managers to support their selling needs by helping to attract, nurture, close and ultimately keep our seller clients
- Support our buyer acquisition and retention activities mainly though email marketing and website presentation/experience so we build lasting relationships
- Brainstorm, design (with a little help from our web developers) and execute successful marketing campaigns to both buyers and sellers and also track, interpret and report on results
- Write polished, snappy business copy for emails, collateral and our website
- Work with partners, affiliates and publishers to maximize relationships
- Help us explore and attack Web 2.0 social media tools like blogs, Twitter and LinkedIn to help enhance our business
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of professional experience in a marketing role
- B.A. or B.S required, ideally with a marketing or business focus
- Smart, high-energy person with a proven track record and willing to roll up the proverbial sleeves
- Outstanding attention to detail, communication and project management/organization skills
- Strong copywriting ability, especially writing to a primarily B2B crowd
- Analytically-minded person who welcomes the fact that marketing has both a creative and a numbers side (and who doesn’t view Microsoft Excel as a foe)
- An appreciation for a test and measure atmosphere with a clear ROI focus
- Experience with email marketing and familiarity with direct mail, whitepapers, collateral development and online/affiliate marketing
- Exceptional collaboration skills not just amongst marketing and sales but with technical folks, customer-facing team members and even management
- Confident, results-driven individual who likes to work hard and play hard but who cares about their work making a real difference

Product Manager
BuyerZone.com, the leading online marketplace for business purchasing, is seeking a product manager to manage a portfolio of core RFQ (Request for Quotes) business areas and oversee development of new markets and applications for its lead generation service - including development of new domestic categories and international opportunity assessment and management.
As a product manager, you will have P&L ownership over a portfolio that will include managing and expanding existing BuyerZone categories and pursuing financial growth via launching and developing new RFQ categories and services. You will also have direct ownership over a segment of the RFQ product that extends beyond your specific business area and which will impact the entire BuyerZone service. This highly cross-functional position is an outstanding opportunity for a smart, energetic, independent thinking person with a strong ability to successfully lead projects.
Responsibilities:
- P&L responsibility for new and existing RFQ categories, including localized domestic categories and international development
- Craft product strategy and define specifications for portfolio categories and the RFQ service overall
- Identify, research, & evaluate new category opportunities
- Lead development of market entry strategies
- Develop and manage online marketing programs
- Identify and implement activities and process improvements to speed and grow new category efforts
- Identify and approach business development prospects
- Analyze effectiveness of new categories, including results for BuyerZone and quality for category users and supplier partners
- Work with other departments across the company to support development, project management, launch/execution and follow-on analysis of expansion efforts
- Conduct ad hoc strategy and analysis projects
