Hot tub prices vary widely, depending on the size and features you select. You also have to consider other elements that add to your costs such as shipping and installation, sanitation, maintenance agreements, and electricity to power your hot tub. In addition, make sure to account for the cost of consumables you'll need for water maintenance like chemicals and replacement filters.

Buyers who prefer not to install a permanent hot tub in their home typically choose portable, freestanding hot tubs. These units sit on either a raised porch or deck or on the ground, and can be moved at will.
